Coldplay Warms Up for the Road
Looks like Chris Martin's ready to work on Apple and Moses' college fund.
He and his Coldplay pals just announced the first batch of dates for their world tour in support of their upcoming fourth studio album, Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends, which hits stores June 17.
After two free shows, London's Brixton Academy on June 16 and New York's Madison Square Garden on June 23, the easy-rocking Brits will kick off the paying portion of Viva La Vida on June 29 in Philly and target mainly arenas, along with the odd stadium and festival.
After the initial North American dates wrap Aug. 4 in Chicago, the band will jet to Japan for gigs in Osaka and Tokyo on Aug. 9 and 10. The second North American leg launches Oct. 20 in Montreal and ends Nov. 22 in Salt Lake City.
Fans can win tickets for the free London and Big Apple shows by registering at coldplay.com.

Gwyneth Paltrow Wears Panties
Miley Cyrus isn't the only one posing for magazines in a bedsheet. British GQ has Gwyneth Paltrow on the cover, and the inside shots of the Iron lady show her in nothin' but peekaboo lingerie like slips, bras and garters.
This is as risqué as gets, but still the mother of two remains a target of the tabloid press.
“I’m not going out without my knickers, and I’m not getting drunk and I’m not on my eighth husband,” she tells writer Johnny Davis. “Sometimes they have to drum up a lot of controversy over nothing.”
The only thing we can accuse Paltrow of being is, well, boring. I mean, she’s cooking family dinners and even recites pasta recipes from memory.

Gwyneth Paltrow's Red-Carpet Hits and Misses. OK, Just Misses
Fashionistas are praising Gwyneth Paltrow for her “daring” sartorial choices at recent Iron Man premieres. They’re daring, all right. Daring us to mock her until she weeps—or throws on a hoodie or something.
Possibly the worst offender is this navy blue jumpsuit, worn Wednesday in Los Angeles. Unless she’s got roller skates hiding beneath those flared pant legs, there is no excuse for this outfit. Plus, it looks strange without the rainbow clown wig it probably came with.
We’re beginning to think her stylist hates her. Or that Gwyneth has fired her stylist and instead gets all her gowns from a woman who runs an upholstery shop for brothels.
Which one tops your "miss" list?
Gwyneth: Action Movies Make You a Better Mom!
It makes sense. No, really it does. Making a big, loud summer movie about an arms dealer-turned-superhero is good for new moms. Just listen to Gwyneth Paltrow.
The still-new mother of two made Iron Man her first major role since shooting Proof in 2004, when she was pregnant with her daughter, Apple.
"Why not?" she tells E! News this week, explaining her easy action-flick schedule. "It's great. They have you for this many hours, and you can go home and sleep."
When her son Moses was 1, the part of Pepper Potts, right-hand-gal to Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark (aka Iron Man), came along. Director Jon Favreau reeled her in.
"It was just the perfect job for me," Paltrow says. "I was back in California in the house that I grew up in when I was little. It was just before my mother sold it, and I was with my kids."
She worked two or three days a week—cake for an actress used to more serious roles. "I felt that I was with [Apple and Moses] more than I was at work," she says. "When I went to work, I had so much fun."

Gwyneth Talks Hip-Hop, Madonna and Mario
I just caught up with the Iron Man star Gwyneth Paltrow at the Tribeca Film Festival, and she let it all out.
Hit the clip to see what she's got to say about: postpartum depression, her cooking tour with Mario Batali, how Madonna stole her trainer and which big-time rapper her kids call "Uncle J."
