Miley Cyrus Mocks the Competition

Perhaps being dubbed "the next Miley Cyrus" isn't such a good thing after all.

With an E! News source claiming that Selena Gomez and the Hannah Montana star's ex Nick Jonas have been an item for months, a YouTube video from a while back showing Miley mocking Selena is garnering renewed interest.

The clip, which is actually a splice of two separate videos made several months ago, shows Selena and Camp Rock's Demi Lovato playfully talking to the camera, with footage of Miley and her pal Mandy Jiroux snarkily mimicking what the girls are saying and doing.

Don't you just miss high school?

A Bloggy Bromance: Should Ash & Jen Be Worried?

John Mayer, Pete Wentz ODuran/Fame Pictures

Pete Wentz is keeping the love alive. The Fall Out Boy just posted a gushing tribute to John Mayer—the latest in a string of back-and-forth compliments between the rockers.

"john mayer is one of my favorite dudes. not even in some fantasy way. just in the way that he is in on the joke, while you are simply laughing at it."

What's sort of weird (besides the very public declarations of admiration) is that the two have generally avoided any online references to the much more famous women they're involved with.

Granted, Jennifer Aniston probably packs a nondisclosure agreement with every date to avoid such a thing, but since these guys are both celebrities in their own right, doesn't blogging about each other violate some Hollywood statute on kissing 'n' telling?

Rise 'n' Shine: Mariah's Marriage Is Fine—It's Her Wardrobe That's in Trouble

About all those bad marriage rumors? Mariah Carey tells MTV, "It's good. Life is beautiful, and things are going well." That's why she wore her happy skirt.

• Heidi and Spencer are seriously shopping for a multimillion dollar beachfront home in Malibu. If only we could stop watching The Hills, we could prevent this.

Ron Weasley, er, Rupert Grint takes on big-people roles, and the results aren't pretty.

Pharrell on Madonna: "She sure knows how to milk publicity and create a publicity stunt.” Goodbye Pharrell, it was nice knowing you.

Elizabeth Berkley is developing a show for MTV where she helps build girls’ self-esteem so they don't make the same mistake she did and star in Showgirls.

Paparazzi Given Le Boot at Chez Brangelina

Forget the Bastille, the latest thing to storm in France is Brangelina's château.

A pair of paparazzi determined to get snaps of Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and, one guesses, new twins Knox and Vivienne, were taken into police custody Thursday afternoon after getting into an altercation with guards at the Jolie-Pitt's Miraval residence in southern France.

Proving just how far they'd go to get the exclusive pictures, the shutterbugs snuck onto the property in camouflage suits and, once found by two guards, got into a skirmish of Fight Club-like proportions.

"We caught the two and tried to escort them off the property and the guy's just gone berserk, thrashing out, kicking and actually biting one of the security people, breaking his finger, drawing blood and screaming that he had hepatitis C," Tony Webb, head of the Jolie-Pitt guard squad, told Reuters.

NKOTB Buzz Kills Rumors of Madge, Michael Duets

New Kids on the Block Jamie McCarthy/WireImage.com

New Kids on the Block's reunion only has room for one fellow '80s hitmaker, thankyouverymuch.

While the comeback-minded all-grown-up boy band has already confirmed it's dueting with the regrouped New Edition, Donnie Wahlberg has taken to the group's website to dispel rumors that he and the guys have sought out collaborations with Madonna and Michael Jackson.

"While I enjoy any hype for our album...And while I also (sometimes) enjoy the audacity of people writing blatantly fabricated 'news' articles...We are NOT recording with Michael Jackson and/or Madonna," Wahlberg writes on the band's blog. "We never claimed to be either."

The X-Files: The Truth Is in Here

David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson AP Photo/Chris Pizzello

Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny both turned out for the Los Angeles premiere of X-Files: I Want to Believe at Grauman's Chinese Theatre Wednesday night, resulting in an unexplained phenomenon.

When the very pregnant Gillian (she's due in October) leaned in to whisper to her costar, it seems like her entire Moschino-clad body followed.

We asked you what her twin peaks might have been trying to tell David, and Fighting nicely came up with the winner above.

From rb: If you pull that chain just right the baby will pop out.

From janagoldhill: I want to believe...this is the Scully-Mulder love child we've been waiting for.

From Mike: Well, now that we have made The X-files, let's make an X-rated movie.

Latest Bachelor Returns to, Well, Bachelorhood

Matt Grant, The Bachelor ABC/CRAIG SJODIN

We...are...shocked!

Former Bachelor Matt Grant and the recipient of his most important rose, actress Shayne Lamas, have broken off their engagement after publicly pretending that they were meant to be for two whole months, People reports.

"We tried hard to make it work but we realized that we were both heading in different directions," the duo said in a statement. "We truly care about each other and will remain close friends."

Just so long as they don't have to spend any time with each other, apparently.
